Mediation
Peaceful resolution of conflict

Mediation offers an opportunity for people in conflict to communicate with one another in a different way than they are able to within the dynamics of the situation itself.
The role of the mediator is truly that of a neutral intermediary:
a bridge between two people.
The purpose of a mediation session is to create conditions in which all parties can hear one another.
Within a well-structured, protected, and regulated framework, there is space to clarify the situation and address the conflict itself.
The mediation space is a non-judgmental and supportive environment.
It allows participants to express their needs and expectations which, at a deeper level, are the articulation of emotions and underlying needs in an appropriate and constructive form.
Through the process, understanding grows, both toward one’s own needs and toward those of the other, and responsibility strengthens for one’s own life and for the shared relationship.
Beyond resolving the immediate conflict, mediation also provides participants with communication and conflict-handling tools that can support a more harmonious way of living going forward.
The mediation process
The mediation process consists of several meetings.
As a first step, I meet with each party individually for a 60-minute preparatory conversation, where each person has the opportunity to present their perspective in a confidential, one-on-one setting.
This is followed by the joint mediation session.
A mediation session may last 2–3 hours and can involve multiple meetings, depending on the complexity of the situation.
In the final mediation session, the agreement reached between the parties is put into writing.
This agreement is then confirmed through written approval via email.
